Reno local guide
Reno's largest nearby water is Pyramid Lake, north of the city on the Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation. The tribe's official site says the lake covers 125,000 acres and that visitors must buy permits before they go, online or at the ranger station in Sutcliffe. Closer to town, Nevada State Parks says Washoe Lake State Park has boat launch ramps at its main day use area, North Ramp and Little Washoe, with boat trailer parking.
Most of the storage we verified sits in Reno's North Valleys around Stead and the Parr Boulevard and US 395 corridor, with one larger facility in South Meadows. The choices run from paved outdoor lots with free dump stations to heated indoor space: Silver Lake says its building stays above 45°F all winter, so stored boats do not need winterizing, and South Meadows offers heated, enclosed and covered units up to 15x60 feet.
Across our three Reno guides we currently list 4 storage facilities, 7 RV dump stations, 2 named boat launches and 3 boat rental businesses. Storage details come from each facility’s own website and the date we checked it. Dump stations and ramps come from OpenStreetMap. We never add prices, ratings or availability that a source does not publish.
