RV & Boat Storage in Orlando, FL

Orlando local guide

Orlando has more dedicated RV and boat yards on our list than most cities its size, and they ring the metro. Outrig is by the airport on Narcoossee Road, A&H Storage is on Forsyth Road in east Orlando and Park a Lot 247 is in the Alafaya corridor. Farther out, Christmas RV & Boat Storage is on SR 50 toward Titusville, Sanford RV & Boat Storage and JVD are to the north, Top Notch is in Clermont, and Safe and Secure and Afford-A-Storage are in Kissimmee and St. Cloud near the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes.

Covered canopy rates, side by side

Covered parking is where Orlando yards compete, and several publish full price lists. A&H Storage lists covered back-in spaces from $200 a month for 25 feet to $345 for 45 feet, and covered pull-throughs from $380 for 50 feet to $540 for 70 feet. A 40-foot space with 30-amp service is $340, and every covered space includes power for trickle charging. A&H adds a five-foot safety buffer to your rig's length, so a 20-foot boat and trailer needs a 25-foot space. Most sizes showed a waiting list. Christmas RV & Boat Storage charges $275 for a covered space up to 50 feet without power and $325 with 30-amp power, tax included.

Outrig Orlando publishes canopy spaces from 12x25 to 14x50 at $299 to $639, with 15-amp power standard and 50 amp on select units. Enclosed storage there is waitlist-only. JVD RV Storage in Casselberry is small, with only 15 private covered sites, each 55x14x16 with 30-amp power. The CubeSmart on Landstreet Road lists covered 11x45 and 11x48 spaces at in-store prices of $517 and $542.

Open lots and per-foot pricing

Uncovered storage is much cheaper. Christmas charges $90 for up to 20 feet, rising to $150 for anything over 35 feet. Sanford RV & Boat Storage is under renovation and lists interim prices from $79 for 10x18 to $149 for 11x70, with covered and enclosed units listed as coming soon. Top Notch RV Storage in Clermont prices by length, $4.50 per foot for open space and $7.50 per foot for covered, plus tax. Outrig's outdoor spaces run $229 to $329. For fully indoor storage, Boat RV Auto Storage of West Orange in Winter Garden has insulated, ventilated buildings with fire sprinklers and 30-amp service.

Keeping a boat or RV at home in Orlando

The City of Orlando's Citizen's Guide to City Codes says boats and recreational vehicles may be kept at a residence only on an approved, improved surface in a side or rear yard. The guide notes this applies to boats and RVs under 10 1/2 feet in height, and setback and screening requirements come from city permitting services (407.246.2271). Commercial vehicles are barred from residential streets and driveways except while loading. Much of greater Orlando lies outside city limits in Orange, Seminole or Osceola County, where county codes and HOA covenants apply instead. We could not verify a city street-parking rule specific to RVs, so we have left that out.

Rain, heat and hurricane season

NOAA's 1991-2020 normals for Orlando International Airport show 51.45 inches of rain a year, with 29.57 inches of it falling June through September, and June alone averaging 8.05 inches. The airport averages about 110 days a year at 90°F or hotter, while freezes average under two nights a year. Storage here is about roofs, drainage and airflow, not antifreeze. Florida's hurricane season runs June through November, according to NOAA's National Hurricane Center, so ask any yard what it expects tenants to do when a storm is forecast. NOAA climate normals

Lakes, ramps and rentals

Our Orlando boat ramps and rentals page maps city lake ramps such as Ferncreek, Dinky Dock and Lake Monroe Wayside. It also lists rentals including Boats To You, which delivers to private docks on the Butler Chain, plus The Paddling Center at Shingle Creek and Wekiva Island. OpenStreetMap shows only one public dump station near Orlando, so the on-site dump at Outrig is useful. Other Florida cities are on the Florida hub. Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 needs an FWC boating education ID to operate a boat of 10 horsepower or more.

Across our three Orlando guides we currently list 17 storage facilities, 1 RV dump station, 9 named boat launches and 8 boat rental businesses. Storage details come from each facility’s own website and the date we checked it. Dump stations and ramps come from OpenStreetMap. We never add prices, ratings or availability that a source does not publish.
