Twin Falls sits on the south rim of the Snake River Canyon, with the river running far below the streets of town. US-93 crosses the canyon on the Perrine Bridge to reach I-84 near Jerome, which is why several storage yards serving Twin Falls are actually on the north rim in Jerome or west along Highway 30 toward Filer and Buhl.
Getting a boat onto the Snake here means driving down into the canyon. Twin Falls County's Centennial Waterfront Park, below the Perrine Bridge, has both a motorized and a non-motorized launch, and it is also where AWOL Adventure Sports rents kayaks and paddleboards for trips to Pillar Falls or up to Shoshone Falls. Dierkes Lake, inside the city's Shoshone Falls park, is open only to non-motorized boats, kayaks and canoes, and the city charges a $5 vehicle fee there from March through September.
Storage choices run from big dedicated yards to self-storage chains with long drive-up units. Alpine RV & Boat Storage has enclosed, canopy-covered and open spaces up to 60 feet, and Glacier West on Eastland Drive offers covered and uncovered parking up to 13x50. For indoor storage, SJ Storage, Magic Valley Storage and Jerome Mini Storage publish their prices, and the Jerome County Fairgrounds rents barn space for the winter at $15 per foot.
Winterizing matters in the Magic Valley. The city's own RV dump station at Washington Street and 4th Avenue West closes for the winter (October 30 was the last day in 2026), so plan to empty tanks before laying up an RV, or use the Love's at I-84 Exit 141 in Bliss.
Idaho requires a Certificate of Number and validation stickers on any boat except manually powered craft such as canoes, rafts and kayaks, float tubes and sailboards; all sailboats must be registered. Boats registered in another state can use Idaho waters for up to 60 consecutive days. Idaho registration includes the Invasive Species Fund fee, while non-Idaho motorized boats need a $30 sticker and non-motorized boats a $7 sticker.
