St. George boaters mostly use two state parks east of town. Utah State Parks calls Sand Hollow, with its warm reservoir and red sandstone, Utah's most popular state park, and lists a boat ramp and a decontamination station that runs 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from May through September. Quail Creek State Park sits on a reservoir completed in 1985 to supply irrigation and drinking water to the St. George area; the park lists about 600 surface acres, a boat launch and a dump station, and says its mild winters draw boaters and anglers year-round.

Several lots wire covered spaces for trickle charging, including Sunbrook, whose spaces run up to 70 feet long, and Monster Storage, which includes a free trickle charge.
