Fort Worth local guide
Fort Worth sits between three reservoirs that shape where people keep their boats. Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth lie northwest of downtown along the West Fork of the Trinity, and Benbrook Lake is southwest off US-377. The storage on this page tracks those lakes: Luxury RV & Boat Storage is on Morris Dido Newark Road near Eagle Mountain, North Fort Worth Storage is in Haslet off the US-287 and I-35W corridor, RecNation's lot is on US-377 by Benbrook, and Fort Worth RV and Boat Storage is on Dick Price Road in southeast Fort Worth near Kennedale.
Covered, enclosed or outdoor: what Fort Worth facilities offer
Uncovered parking starts low. RecNation lists outdoor 12x25 spaces with power from $57 a month at its Benbrook-area lot, and Fort Worth RV and Boat Storage charges $85 for a 25x12.5 space and $99 for a 50x12.5 space, which fits a big fifth wheel or a toy hauler with room to spare.
Covered parking is where most Fort Worth owners land, and the published rates are close together. Fort Worth RV and Boat Storage asks $145 for 25 feet, $160 for 35 feet and $175 for 40 feet, with 13 feet of clearance and a 15-amp outlet. Luxury RV & Boat Storage lists 30x12 at $155, 40x12 at $180 to $190 and 50x12 at $210, also with 15-amp power. North Fort Worth Storage charges $175 for a 25x12x16 covered space and $220 for a 40x12x16, both with electric. RecNation's covered 12x45 spaces start at $197.
Enclosed space is scarcer. RecNation lists indoor 12x36 units from $225, and North Fort Worth Storage advertises indoor storage alongside its covered and open-lot spaces. If you need a long enclosed unit for a Class A coach, call ahead, since availability changes quickly.
Access hours and security
Fort Worth RV and Boat Storage runs 24-hour gated access and keeps a dump station with fresh water plus a small RV store on site, which saves a stop on the way out of town. Luxury RV & Boat Storage also advertises 24/7 access. For the other lots, confirm gate hours and whether power is included before you sign, because a 15-amp outlet for a battery tender is a real advantage during the long summer.
Parking an RV or boat at home in Fort Worth
Fort Worth regulates recreational vehicles in Chapter 22 of the City Code. Section 22-159 treats a vehicle left in one spot for five days as stored, and Section 22-160 sets the hard-surface rules for parking in front and side yards. Under Section 22-162.2, large recreational vehicles may not be parked on city streets except for up to 72 hours in any seven-day period. Section 22-162.3 allows storage in a side or rear yard behind a six-foot fence and limits driveway parking to 72 hours in seven days. Section 22-162.5 sets fines of up to $500 for each day a violation continues. HOA rules in Alliance-area and Benbrook subdivisions can be stricter still.
North Texas heat and freezes: what they mean for storage
NOAA's 1991-2020 normals for Fort Worth Meacham International Airport show average highs of 95.7°F in July and 95.9°F in August. Meacham averages about 106 days a year at 90°F or above and about 24 days at 100°F or more. Winter is colder than in Central Texas: January averages a high of 56.4°F and a low of 35.3°F, with about 33 nights a year at or below freezing. Annual precipitation averages 35.34 inches, and October is the wettest month at 4.46 inches. A covered space handles the sun, but anyone parking outside should plan a real winterizing routine, because a January freeze can split lines in an RV left full of water. NOAA climate normals
