Laconia sits between Lake Winnipesaukee and Lake Winnisquam, and its boating centers on Paugus Bay, the arm of Winnipesaukee that reaches down into the city, and on Weirs Beach just north of it. All three storage options are marinas on that stretch: Paugus Bay Marina on Sheridan Street, Winni Marine on Channel Lane on Paugus Bay near Weirs Beach, and North Water Marine on Endicott Street North.
Lakes Region storage means winter storage, because the lake ices over and boats come out in the fall. Paugus Bay Marina says it stores more than 700 boats a winter, with heated indoor space or outdoor shrink-wrap packages.
